We’re seeking a compassionate and experienced PA to join our team as a Lead Provider, responsible for providing exceptional care and making a real impact on the lives of our patients within our urgent care clinic. Lead Providers at Convenient
MD act as clinical leader for all clinical staff, mentoring and supporting new‑grad providers as well as allied healthcare professionals.
- Provide Patient-Centered Care — Conduct health assessments, physical exams, and review medical histories to address short- and long-term patient needs while staying committed to high-quality, efficient patient care.
- Interview patients, perform physical examinations, and update medical histories.
- Administer or order diagnostic tests (e.g., x-rays, electrocardiograms, laboratory studies) and interpret test results.
- Administer injections, immunizations, sutures, and manage wounds and infections.
- Educate patients about health, therapeutic regimens, growth and development, family planning, and wellness through counseling and guidance.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare clear, complete, accurate, and legible medical records for each patient under your care.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with company and state procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection‑control policies and protocols.
- Comply with legal and professional requirements, including studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, and enforcing adherence to requirements.
- Collaborate with a Team — Work collaboratively and pro‑actively with other providers and health care practitioners within your clinic to efficiently treat patients, plan coordinated, efficient, and thoughtful dispositions (including transfer), all in a timely manner.
- Act as a clinic leader and mentor to new‑graduate providers and clinic staff, especially when the Practice Manager is not in‑clinic.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Act as a preceptor to new provider staff, providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.
- Education, Licensure, & Certifications
- Master’s degree and certification by a PA certifying body.
- DEA license with no restrictions.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross). No CPR, ACLS, or online‑only classes.
- Relevant Experience – Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care setting is preferred.
- Strong Leadership Skills – Willing and able to mentor provider and non‑provider clinic staff.
- Excellent Team Player – Enjoy collaborating with others and being part of a strong team dynamic.
- Proactive and Confident Communicator (written and verbal) – Foreshadows and elevates concerns as they arise and is unafraid of professional directness both with colleagues and patients.
- Compassionate, Authentic, and Patient‑Focused – Supports patients through kindness and demonstrates understanding for others, contributing to a community of belonging.
- Technically Savvy – Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and clinical management systems (EMR).
- Strong Knowledge of
- Customer and personal service principles, meeting quality standards and evaluating customer satisfaction.
- Federal, state, and local laws including HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable regulations.
- Relevant drugs and non‑pharmaceutical patient care aids.
- Current principles, methods, and procedures for medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.
