• The Centralized Scheduler for Surgical Services coordinates the booking of surgical procedures for PSA, Ambulatory, The Endoscopy Unit, and The Main Operating Room at Berkshire Medical Center.
• Experience:
  
  Three years of experience with competency in surgical scheduling.
• Education and Training:
  Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• License, Certification & Registration:
  None.
• Other Requirements:
  • Advanced skills with OR MEDITECH Module – including statistics and reports.
  • Medical terminology and knowledge of surgical procedures/instrumentation/equipment desired.
  • Familiarity with computers preferred compiling statistics.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills both written and oral, plus organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize numerous tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with patients/families, surgeons office staff and BMC departments in a gracious, polite and respectful manner.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to problem solve in conjunction with other team members.
