Industrial Coatings Supervisor
Leads the coatings department, ensuring surfaces are prepared, coated, cured, and inspected to meet quality and safety standards. The role manages workflow, equipment, materials, safety compliance, and continuous improvement to support efficient production.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise, train, and assign work to coatings technicians
- Oversee coating operations: surface prep, mixing, spraying, curing, and inspection
- Manage equipment maintenance and calibration
- Monitor material usage, storage, and waste reduction
- Perform quality checks and maintain process records
- Ensure OSHA, EPA, and safety compliance
- Support process improvement and cross-team collaboration
- 3–5 years industrial coatings, paint application, or production experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical/trade training preferred)
- Knowledge of coating types, spray application, curing, and film thickness testing
- Ability to read drawings and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organization skills
- Basic MS Office/ERP familiarity preferred
- Must pass physical and respirator fitness exams
- Ability to lift 70 lbs.
- PPE and safety compliance required
Manufacturing setting with chemical and fume exposure. PPE required. Work shirts provided. Overtime as needed. Team-oriented culture with company events.
Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.
