Position Overview
The RN/LPN Clinical Supervisor triages patients by telephone or walk‑in to determine the urgency and level of care needed. The supervisor assists the Practice Manager in supervising clinical support staff, assists in patient care under CHP physicians, supports CHP’s mission, vision, and values, and adheres to compliance protocols and CHP policies.
Responsibilities- Triage patients by telephone or walk‑in; approve same‑day visits when appropriate; assist with referrals to area specialists; process PT‑1 forms and patient education.
- Supervise medical assistants as needed.
- Assist physicians in procedures requiring nursing level support.
- Administer immunizations and allergy shots; manage prescription medication requests; process laboratory results, pull charts, review and hold abnormal results for provider review.
- Contact patients with results as directed; chart all procedures performed.
- Run daily equipment controls; assist in charting for quality assurance (HCG, strep, sickle cell, urinalysis dipstick, etc.); ensure billing codes are correct; perform other routine office duties as requested.
- Interact with others with tact and diplomacy; treat all with respect and contribute to a positive team spirit.
- Respond appropriately to patient needs; manage difficult or emotional patient situations; solicit feedback to improve performance.
- Manage multiple priorities; work well under pressure; complete tasks accurately and on time with limited supervision.
- Lead and instruct others; delegate effectively.
- Present information clearly in one‑on‑one or small group settings.
- Complete administrative duties accurately and timely.
- Calculate figures, solve practical problems, and interpret various instructions.
- Be punctual and reliable while maintaining schedule commitments.
- Spanish speaking/bilingual is a plus.
Skills and Qualifications
- Registered Nursing graduation from an accredited school (RN license holder).
- Minimum of three years’ experience in an ambulatory setting.
- Electronic Medical Records experience required.
- CPR certification is a plus.
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
