American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift teaching hospital position requiring telemetry experience and willingness to float to any Med/Surg unit.

• 298-bed teaching hospital Med/Surg unit setting
• Unit size ranges from 20 to 34 beds depending on area
• Typical patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required, with holidays required if needed
• No on-call requirements
• Must be willing to float to any Med/Surg unit; block scheduling not offered
• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred

• Active MA RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration; compact licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA) required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment
• Skills checklist for Medical Surgical experience current within 1 year required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg unit within a full-service teaching hospital
• Facility will not approve scheduling or RTO requests made after offer or at interview; all requests must be submitted upfront
• No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted during the assignment
• Must work two full holiday blocks if scheduled:
  Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
• Personal scrubs of any color permitted
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
