- Registered Nurse is the designation given to an individual who is licensed to practice professional nursing, holds ultimate responsibility for direct and indirect nursing care, is a graduate of an approved school for professional nursing, and is currently licensed as a Registered Nurse pursuant to M.G.L. c.112. Included in such responsibility is providing nursing care, health maintenance, teaching, counseling, planning and restoration for optimal functioning and comfort, of those they serve.

QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
- Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Has a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures.
- One year of CCU experience or one year of phase I recovery experience required.
- PACU experience preferred.
- Education and Training:
- Associates Degree in Nursing. BSN preferred.
- TCAR (Trauma Care After Resuscitation) course completion within 1 year of hire.
- License, Certification & Registration:
- RN - Currently licensed as an RN in Massachusetts
- BLS
- ACLS and PALS required
- Preferred CPAN certification within six months of eligibility.
- Other Requirements:
- Demonstrates continuing education in accordance with State regulations. Assures compliance with unit-specific scope of practice. Must be able to speak the English language in an understandable manner. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so the requirements of the position can be fully met.
