American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a night shift position requiring MA RN licensure and telemetry experience with mandatory holiday coverage.

• 298-bed teaching hospital setting on the Med Surg - 3 West unit
• Unit ranges from 20 to 34 beds depending on area
• Typical patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM-7:30 AM) on a 48-hour guaranteed schedule
• Every other weekend required, with holidays required if needed
• No on-call requirements
• Must be willing to float to any Med Surg unit; block scheduling not offered

• Active MA RN license required and in hand (standard/permanent only; no provisional, conditional, or temporary licensure accepted)
• Compact license not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and in hand prior to consideration
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment
• Skills checklist for Medical Surgical experience current within 1 year required for consideration
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required for consideration

• Provide direct patient care on a busy Med Surg/Telemetry unit within a teaching hospital
• Personal scrubs of any color permitted
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted, and all RTO must be submitted at time of profile upload; requests made after offer or during interview will not be approved
• Must work two holiday blocks if scheduled:
  Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• Permanent address must be included in profile at time of submission
• Candidates should not be working another permanent placement or travel assignment concurrently with this position
