American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN with Cardiac/Neuro experience for a night shift position requiring tele skills and a Massachusetts RN license.

• Cardiac/Neuro unit (3 East) within a teaching hospital setting
• Unit size ranges from 20 to 34 beds depending on unit
• Typical patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, scheduled 36 or 48 hours biweekly
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage required if needed
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required
• No block scheduling available

• Active MA RN license required in hand at time of consideration; compact license not accepted
• Minimum 4 years of current Med/Surg, Cardiac, or Neuro experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required in hand, with no pending certifications accepted
• Skills checklist demonstrating high proficiency in Cardiac/Neuro patient care required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required
• Must have personal vehicle for the assignment

• Provide direct patient care to Cardiac/Neuro patient population on a Med/Surg unit
• “Straight Med/Surg” experience alone does not meet eligibility requirements for this unit
• Personal scrubs of any color permitted
• Includes 8 hours of non-billable orientation
• Holiday coverage requires working two of the following:
  Thanksgiving weekend, Christmas Eve/Day weekend, or New Year's Eve/Day weekend
• All scheduling and RTO requests must be submitted at the time of profile upload; requests made after offer will not be approved
• No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted for the assignment
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• Permanent address must be included in candidate profile
