American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN First Assist for an Operating Room position requiring CNOR certification and BSN at a teaching hospital.
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required in hand prior to consideration (no provisional, conditional, or temporary licensure accepted)
- BSN required
- Minimum 2 years of current RN experience required
- CNOR certification required
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Operating Room First Assist skills checklist current within 1 year required for consideration
- One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required
- Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
- Must have personal vehicle for this assignment
Responsibilities
- Operating Room unit with 8 beds
- Day shift, 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- 13-week assignment
- On-call required by rotation
- Holiday coverage required if needed
- Work as part of a surgical team providing First Assist support in the OR at a 298-bed teaching hospital
- Facility-provided scrubs
- Must work two holiday blocks if scheduled:
Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend - Requested time off must be submitted and verified prior to assignment start, with a maximum of 5 days accepted
- Does not accept candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
- 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
