Overview

Join to apply for the Automotive Electrician role at Lenco Industries, Inc.

Role focuses on routine 12-volt vehicle electrical work, including preparation and fitting of electronics equipment as defined by standards and work orders.

Responsibilities
  • Run electrical wiring using in-house built and prebuilt wiring harnesses.
  • Integrate and install OEM wiring harnesses in Bearcat.
  • Prep and install component assemblies such as switch panels, fuse boards, and relay panels.
  • Install exterior electronics such as thermal cameras, 360 camera systems, sirens, etc.
  • Install interior electronics such as lights, monitors, radios, etc.
  • Vehicle OEM 12-volt diagnosis and repair.
  • Adhere to existing work practices, procedures, and policies; follow safety and environmental policies.
  • Must own mechanics tool set in accordance with Lenco standard tool list.
  • Other duties as assigned; interact with other teams on the shop floor to ensure trucks are built on schedule.
Qualifications
  • Experience:

    Two plus (2+) years in the automotive industry working on mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Education:

    High School Diploma or GED; certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship is a plus.
  • Certifications:

    ASE certification preferred; other certifications may be listed as Lenco qualifications (e.g., L2 or A6-A7 or E1-E3 or T6-T7).
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Advanced knowledge of 12-volt electrical systems; knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.
    • Knowledge of air conditioning, suspension, and other mechanical systems.
    • Ability to follow established procedures and read instructions/blueprints; ability to work independently.
    • Aptitude with hand tools and precision measurement tools; strong commitment to health and safety guidelines.
    • Basic math skills; strong attention to detail; good communication and problem-solving abilities.
    • Pride in quality workmanship and a proactive, can-do attitude; knowledge of Ford vehicles is a plus.
  • Physical Demands:
    Ability to pass a physical exam; lift up to 70 lbs; climb into/onto/under vehicles; extended periods of sitting/standing/bending; vision 20/40 with or without corrective lenses.
  • Other:
    Valid Driver's License.
Work Environment & Safety
  • Heated and well-ventilated factory with bright lighting and epoxy floors.
  • Team environment with occasional luncheons and celebratory functions.
  • Compliance with all Federal and State Safety, Health and Environmental requirements; safety is a precondition of employment.
