OverviewThe Maintenance - Process Control Technician is responsible for installation, programming, maintenance and repair of process control equipment, components, and systems across manufacturing areas including raw materials processing, paper making and process related equipment, paper converting equipment, electric motors, air compressors, process valves and piping, and material handling equipment. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, responding to trouble calls, calibrations, programming, and project work related to Process Control Systems.
Responsibilities- Adhere to proper work procedures to ensure safe execution of job tasks
- Complete all duties assigned by supervision promptly and efficiently
- Perform calibrations of various process equipment and maintain documentation for instrument calibration and system changes
- Work in cooperation with various trades to complete assigned tasks
- Interact positively with co-workers, supervisors, engineers, contracted resources, and customers, contributing to team efforts
- Maintain inventory and good repair of all assigned shop tools and equipment, and maintain good housekeeping in work areas
- Manage Process Technician Work Order Backlog; create and close work orders in Asset Essentials and manage the PM schedule
- With minimal assistance, perform preventative maintenance on all Process Control Systems
- Troubleshoot problems and perform repairs on Process Control Systems
- Ensure compliance with industry and safety standards for automation systems
- Assist in projects from inception to completion with direction from Project Leads
- Remain flexible to work any shift arrangement, including overtime as required
- Provide on-call availability outside regular hours for operational emergencies
- New hires must be able to be on the night call list within 6 months of acceptance
- Able to make in-field repairs to miscellaneous control systems (air, stock, and process water)
- Understanding of paper making process control systems
- Assist in programming and modifying control logic under supervision
- Ability to read blueprint drawings, schematics, and diagrams of electrical components
- Safe use of various hand, power, and machine tools
- Able to assist and learn programming and maintenance of the Allen-Bradley PLC platform
- Able to assist and learn programming and maintenance of Wonderware InTouch Suite
- Understanding of hydraulic system equipment, controls, and applications
- Understanding of control system equipment used in paper making and converting (valves, motors, flow tubes, dryers, PLC, DCS, ISRA, instruments, etc.)
- Hoisting and rigging equipment methods and applications
- Understanding of mill compressed air systems and related components
- Understanding of mechanical principles, practices, methods, and procedures
- Understanding of fire protection systems within the mill and related buildings
- Trade school, High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in an industrial setting
- Willingness to climb and work off ladders and scaffolding
- Willing and able to advance to Maintenance Tech III and beyond
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Physically lift to 50 pounds
- Push or pull heavy objects up to 250 pounds with pallet jack assistance
- Perform repetitive tasks
- Stand, sit, hear, walk, and talk for extended periods
- Reach, climb, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and balance in tight spaces
- Good vision and depth perception
- Meet Mativ certification requirements to operate Power Industrial Trucks
- PPE: safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection as required

Pay: $24.50-$34.00 per hour based on experience.
