- Under general the direction of the Supervisor of Facilities Engineering, the HVAC Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing and maintaining all Heating Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) and equipment and distribution systems. Ensures safe, reliable and efficient operation through preventive maintenance. Respond to service requests. Utilizes the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to perform preventive maintenance tasks at scheduled frequencies. Performs corrective maintenance and responds to various service requests in a professional manner with appropriate urgency to minimize downtime and provide optimal patient experience.

- Experience:
- Education:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Licensure &
Certifications: - Certificate of Completion in Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning Program preferred
- Driver - Driver’s license
- SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Demonstrate ability to use computer for PM system and a basic knowledge to use Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Demonstrated ability to use communication devices, i.e., radios, smartphones, telephones and computer devices and responds within an appropriate time period.
- Ability to read building drawings, HVAC and plumbing prints preferred. Ability to understand and experience with air pressurization measurements, damper actuation, electronic/electric/pneumatic temperature controls preferred.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Good judgment and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects, such as pumps, motors, beds, stretchers chemical barrels, air conditioning chassis etc.,
- Ability to work from heights with equipment such as ladders and or staging.
