FT Outreach Support Staff - Berkshire County Arc - Pittsfield
Berkshire County Arc is a non-profit human service agency that has been providing community-based services to adults with developmental disabilities and/or brain injuries for over 50 yrs. Berkshire County Arc’s mission is to assist and support individuals in their quest to identify and realize their chosen lifestyles. This is accomplished through various programs offered: residential homes including independent apartments, employment services, day programs, adult family care, transitions, advocacy & family support, special needs pooled trusts and a mail-house staffed by people with disabilities that serves dozens of businesses across Western Massachusetts.
Berkshire County Arc’s programs are offered in Berkshire County and Pioneer Valley. We serve nearly 1,000 individuals per year and have over 700 dedicated staff.

Job DescriptionUnder the direction of the Family Support Manager the Individualized Supports Staff will provide direct care to individuals in their own home, community, or other BCArc approved site. It is understood that the Individualized Supports Staff will work a structured forty hour schedule that may include evenings and weekends. This schedule can change weekly, and the Individualized Supports Staff must be flexible with the demands of the position/ availability of the families served.
The Individualized Supports Staff will be responsible of creating goals, objectives, and collecting data for all assigned individuals, as well as attending and presenting data at annual meetings.
- Undergraduate degree in a human service field preferred or two years’ experience of paid or volunteer experience in direct service to developmentally disabled or other persons.
- Valid driver’s license & personal vehicle use is a requirement of this position
