Dev Ops Software Engineer

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a software engineer for General Dynamics Mission Systems at our Pittsfield, Massachusetts site, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for performing Dev Ops activities in addition to individual contributor SW development activities.

Must haves:

• Background in Task Automations (Git Ops, CI/CD, Nightly Delivery, etc)
• Python and bash, and other scripting languages
• Familiarity with Containers (Docker/Podman/Kubernetes/EKS/LXC/etc)
• Understanding of SW engineering concepts

• Object oriented development
• Experience with Code Analyzers (SAST/DAST/Sonarqube/etc)
• Experience coding against Web APIs (REST/Graph
  
  QL/gRPC)
• Agile experience (SAFe Dev Ops practitioner)
• Basic networking concepts
• Atlassian Stack
• Good communication skills

• Strong understanding of software development process, as well as software engineering concepts, principles, and theories
• Creative thinker capable of applying new information quickly to solve challenging problems
• Comfortable providing technical leadership

This position is mostly on-site with opportunities for Hybrid work/Flex as allowable. While on-site, you will be a part of the GDMS Pittsfield, Massachusetts Engineering Team.
