Job SummarySanitary Welder is responsible for performing process, support project Managers where projects could be located inside or outside of the Pittston factory, to have the ability to weld sanitary lines per drawings working with project Engineers, install sanitary valves, plumbing, run airlines, maintenance experience skills a plus, assist in other areas of the project at hand when needed. The position requires the ability to manage and execute to the last detail the sanitary circuits required to be installed.
Responsibilities- Provide understanding of the importance of & use of LO/TO.
- Provide a high level of skills required for Sanitary Welding toward the design given.
- Willingness to travel.
- Provide support outside of base factory for Sanitary Welding Projects to other company owned factories.
- Provide the ability to read PID’s.
- Work side by side with project Managers and Co-Workers.
- Provide high level of professionalism with Management, various vendor suppliers.
- Provide training in the skills you have in Sanitary Welding Processes to Maintenance personnel who are willing to learn the techniques of such processes, when time permits. Or create a schedule to fit your time with theirs.
- Always Provide clean working areas (Safe Environment).
- Responsible for own tools (being in good condition), accountability of tools.
- Prioritize among various Welding projects and Welding repairs when responding to projects and emergency repairs.
- Quickly identify root causes of breakdown of welded Sanitary lines, hangers, fittings and offer solutions and improvements to mitigate future failures.
- Quik to be decisive on making repairs when required.
- Read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements and weld symbols.
- Highly qualified: experience with Sanitary Welding, either in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
- Cut, shape, and prepare metal materials using saws, plasma cutters, and other hand and power tools.
- Weld metal components and assemble them into finished structures or products using various welding techniques.
- Inspect welds for quality, strength, and compliance with specifications and industry standards.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment and related machinery.
- Adhere to strict safety procedures, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Experience with fastening methods and assembly techniques for metal components.
- Understanding of metal properties and their behavior during fabrication, such as Stainless Steel, Aluminum and various Steels.
- Experience with different types of welding processes, MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), Stick (SMAW) welding.

- 5 + years’ proven experience in the art of Sanitary Welding for food and beverage industry.

- Demonstrate teamwork & maturity with a strong work ethic.
- Certificates: for any tech schools, any completed college courses etc... for Welding processes, any mechanical courses if you have.
