Territory Sales Representative – Construction Equipment Sales and Rentals
Stephenson Equipment, Inc (SEI), an industry leader in Pennsylvania, Maryland and New York providing sales, rentals, parts and service for construction, cranes, and public works equipment has an immediate need for a Territory Sales Representative at our Pittston location
.
- Sales & rentals of construction equipment within a defined sales territory of 6 counties.
- Meet sales goals and targets for gross profit, rentals unit sales, and market share for our segments.
- Attend training and pursue self‑starting opportunities to gain technical knowledge of our product line.
- Develop the territory’s customer management plan to achieve goals, allocate time effectively, and maximize results.
- Demonstrate equipment to qualify buyers and close sales or rental opportunities.
- Qualify, quote, and close sales and rental opportunities using pricing, quoting, inventory, and finance tools.
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly activity and customer coverage expectations via in‑person, phone, text, and email communication.
- Maintain a customer list of up to 300 customers, prioritizing accounts based on market opportunity.
- Represent SEI at local and national trade shows and industry events.

- ESOP eligibility after 1 year of tenure.
- Higher education in a technical field or extensive work experience in a technical field; one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years of outside sales experience.
- Machine technical knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Work environment varies from office to field; much of the time will be spent on the road traveling to and from client locations.
- Travel will involve extended periods of sitting; field environment will include hands‑on operation of equipment.
