Step into a pivotal role supporting students as a School Social Worker for the  school year! This full-time contract position begins as soon as possible and extends through June 2027. Located in a vibrant school community near Pittston, PA, this opportunity allows you to make a lasting impact across elementary grade levels.

You’ll collaborate with a dedicated team—there are three openings—focusing on caseloads in K-4 or K-2, as well as a K-12 assignment. Your expertise will be key in developing supportive environments for student growth and well-being.

Qualifications &

Experience:

• Active and current School Social Worker license required (must be specific to school social work)
• Prior experience in K-12 or elementary educational settings preferred
• Strong foundational skills in advocacy, crisis intervention, and case management
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and families
• Collaborative, flexible, and adaptable in dynamic school environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive social work services to students in assigned caseload (K-4, K-2, or K-12)
• Conduct student assessments and develop intervention strategies
• Collaborate with educators, families, and community agencies to support individualized student needs
• Lead or participate in team meetings and conferences to support academic and social-emotional goals
• Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and legal standards
