Are you an experienced Operations Supervisor that enjoys driving performance, quality and continuous improvement and is looking to lead a precision machining environment in aerospace manufacturing?

Our client is a recognised leader in the aerospace sector, designing and manufacturing flight critical latches and latching systems for commercial and military aircraft. Their products support nacelles and airframes and operate under extreme loads and environments. With a long standing reputation for engineering reliability, they partner closely with global aerospace OEMs to deliver high performance solutions.

As an Operations Supervisor, you will oversee machining operations producing precision aerospace components, ensuring production targets are met safely, efficiently and to exacting quality standards. This role works closely with shop floor teams and cross functional partners to drive operational excellence.

• Work closely with shop floor employees, production control, manufacturing engineering, CNC programming, and product engineering to resolve production issues, improve processes, and achieve operational excellence.
• Planning and supervising machining activities in line with drawings, specifications and production plans.
• Managing production schedules, resolving issues and supporting urgent and special order requirements.
• Owning KPI performance including productivity, delivery, yield and labour efficiency.
• Implementing and sustaining 5S and Lean practices across the shop floor.
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve process reliability.

• Proven supervisory experience within a machine shop or aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, KPI management and continuous improvement methods.
• The ability to analyse data and take effective corrective action.
• Strong computer skills including Excel and ERP or MRP systems.
