Job Summary

Professional Search Group OC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for assembling precision components and mechanical systems according to detailed schematics, blueprints, and production documents. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of high-quality products through accurate measurement, careful handling of tools, and adherence to safety protocols.

Duties

• Assemble mechanical components and systems using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized industrial equipment.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and production documents to ensure precise assembly.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and shop math standards.
• Handle materials manually with care, following safety procedures and utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain accurate documentation of assembly steps, measurements, and inspection results for traceability.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues, optimize workflows, and improve overall manufacturing efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience interpreting mechanical blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
• Familiarity with schematics, blueprint reading, and manufacturing documentation interpretation.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized industrial equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong shop math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations during assembly.
• Experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
• Knowledge of soldering techniques and machining processes is a plus.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while adhering to PPE guidelines.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control throughout the assembly process.
