As an Independent Living Facilitator (ILF) you will provide for the care, fellowship, and protection of persons with developmental disabilities while supporting them to be as independent as possible. • Assisting a person with disabilities to become more active in the community:
  • Helping them with their grocery shopping
  • Joining them in their hobbies, entertainment, and other recreational interests they may have
  • Helping them run errands
• Support with personal hygiene:
  • Bathing
  • Oral hygiene
  • Assisting on and off commode
  • Changing adult briefs
• Light household work
• Meal preparation
• Lifting and transferring, sometimes with the assistance of a Hoyer lift

For some positions, InAlliance works in line with In‑Home Supportive Services (IHSS). (Some hours paid will be via IHSS, but still an employee of InAlliance.)

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1‑2 years of direct support experience
• Valid CA Driver License and proof of auto insurance
