Position SummarySign‑on bonus of $1,500 (for first‑time new hires). The Automotive Technician plays a pivotal role within our automotive service team, learning and developing foundational skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles under the guidance of experienced technicians. The role includes routine inspections, vehicle assessments, repair procedures, and customer interaction.
Pay Range: $16.15 – $24.23 per hour. Technicians enjoy flat‑rate pay based on predetermined amounts per task, with rates reflecting average productivity by region.
Responsibilities- Change oil and perform other scheduled maintenance services.
- Perform inspections of steering, suspension, and brake systems.
- Install batteries and check electrical systems.
- Perform tire maintenance.
- Install parts.
- Road test vehicles.
- Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least one of A1–A8 within the first two years; company pays tests and registration fees and offers a bonus for each test passed.
- Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
- Valid automobile driver's license at all times; able to drive customer and company vehicles.
- Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance & tire repair services, including oil changes, basic inspections, and tire repair.
- Reading, writing, and math skills.
- 2 years of automotive repair experience or completion of a Vocational‑Technical School program related to automotive repair, or demonstrated skills via third‑party certificates/assessment.
- A.S.E. certification or equivalent external qualifications or training certificates.
- Medical, Dental and Vision – starting day 1 for all teammates.
