As a PRN team member, you will coordinate your schedule to meet a one‑shift‑per‑month requirement.
What You’ll Do- Utilize technical and critical thinking skills as a Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT).
- Perform and monitor dialysis treatment under RN supervision within the correctional community.
This unit is located in Plainfield, IN at the Plainfield Correctional Facility, operating Monday–Saturday, 5 am–4:30 pm.
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Nationally recognized Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician certification (CCHT) or equivalent.
- Current CPR certification.
- One year of clinical dialysis experience.
- English communication proficiency.
- Technical/computer proficiency (laptops, tablets, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint).
- Understand basic renal function and treatment modalities for ESRD patients.
- Perform hemofiltration procedures per Rendevor Dialysis policies.
- Complete safety checks before dialysis.
- Monitor and record dialysis parameters (vital signs, weight changes, etc.) and report to licensed personnel.
- Demonstrate sterile technique and infection control compliance.
- Conduct patient assessments and document findings.
- Educate patients on disease and treatment.
- Obtain blood samples and perform routine tests.
- Administer oxygen as directed.
- Participate in CPR if needed.
- Maintain equipment and work area cleanliness.
- Prepare daily logs, set‑ups, and laboratory reports.
- Stock and order necessary supplies.
- Support unit operations (water checks, opening/closing, etc.).
- Participate in IDT, QAPI, performance improvement projects, and training.
- Report concerns, errors, and near misses.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and company information.
- Engage in self and peer evaluations.
- Communicate significant information clearly and promptly; check email weekly.
- Adhere to company policies and maintain punctuality.
- Perform other duties as required.
Reports to the Unit Leader.
Background CheckA comprehensive background check will be conducted after a job offer.
Work EnvironmentWork occurs in a hospital or medical unit of a post‑acute or correctional facility, with exposure to chemicals and blood‑borne pathogens.
Physical DemandsThe role requires frequent standing, walking, hand use, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Employees must work variable schedules ranging from five to fifteen hours per day based on unit needs.
