Pharmacy Manager

Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the hospital pharmacy and its staff. Provide comprehensive medication‑related care to achieve definite outcomes that improve a patient’s quality of life. Act in collaboration with physicians and other health‑care professionals to assume responsibility for patient drug therapy outcomes. Assist the pharmacy director with preparing and performing all activities involving the pharmacy and therapeutics committee.

Assist in new process implementation and quality improvement initiatives. Responsible for inventory management and ongoing financial performance of the pharmacy.

  • Assist patients in enrolling in manufacturer‑sponsored patient assistance programs, copay cards, and other financial aid resources.
  • Verify eligibility criteria for assistance programs and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Complete and submit patient assistance applications on behalf of patients.
  • Track application status and follow up with manufacturers, insurers, and patients as needed.
  • Educate patients on available financial assistance options and guide them through the process.
  • Respond to patient inquiries regarding medication costs and program requirements.
  • Work with pharmacists, prescribers, and insurance specialists to ensure timely medication access.
  • Document all interactions and program activities in the pharmacy system or designated software.

Candidate Qualifications
  • Requires current Indiana license or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a Pharmacist.
  • Requires Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm

    D) or Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy prior to 2006.
  • 5 – 7 years pharmacist experience is required.
  • Requires knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to dispensing of drugs and narcotics.
  • Management experience is preferred.
Hybrid Role

This hybrid role reports to the Integrated Services Center and will be onsite 2–3 days per week. This is a new role that will be over the Medication Assistance Program system wide.
