People Manager – NSO (USA)
Position Summary:
Base pay range: $64,000 – $96,000 per year.
- Manage talent pipelines, assess talent, develop succession plans, and implement talent programs.
- Analyze talent data tools and systems to diagnose gaps and identify workforce trends.
- Provide resources for talent and workforce development and support mentorship programs.
- Leverage talent to create career advancement opportunities and increase associate retention.
- Collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners to develop, communicate, and execute people strategies and action plans.
- Apply data from multiple sources to guarantee accuracy, track plan progress, and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Promote the use of technology and digital solutions, and guide associates in new ways of working.
- Advocate for associates, model Walmart’s core values, and act with integrity.
- Identify customer and operational needs by developing and communicating business goals and priorities.
- Provide guidance, training resources, and contingency plans for plan execution.
- Own the talent acquisition strategy for an assigned facility: plan, communicate, and deliver recruitment strategies; identify candidate pools; manage recruiting processes; conduct interviews; negotiate outcomes; recommend process efficiencies.
- Lead scheduling execution by evaluating and analyzing scheduling and staffing data to improve performance.
- Drive the Workforce Management strategy to improve associate experiences, retention, and business performance.
- Manage hourly talent review activities; coordinate talent programs, performance and talent calibration procedures, and annual talent reviews.
- Integrate data from talent review meetings into recruitment and workforce planning initiatives; adjust workforce plan as needed.
- Oversee the execution of people practices, systems, programs, and policies, ensuring consistent application of policies and programs.
- Compare program results to success measures and company objectives; direct managers and team members in execution.
- Model compliance with company policies, support Walmart’s mission, values, ethics, and the Open Door Policy.
- Coordinate job‑related activities and assignments; build relationships with stakeholders and promote a culture of continuous learning.
- Provide supervision and development opportunities: hiring, training, mentoring, recognition, and fostering belonging.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and support Walmart mission through related action plans.
- Build high‑performing teams that embrace diverse people, cultures, ideas, and experiences; create a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected.
- Attract and retain the best talent, empower and develop talent, and recognize contributions and accomplishments.
- Maintain and promote the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance; support Walmart’s regenerative goals.
- Deliver results with a customer‑first mindset, balancing short‑ and long‑term priorities and considering all stakeholders.
- Show curiosity, desire to learn, and drive continuous improvement; adopt new technologies and support others through change.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related area.
- Associate’s degree in business, human resources, or related area and 1 year of supervisory or HR experience.
- 2 years of supervisory or HR experience.
- Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or related area and 1 year of supervisory or HR experience. - Management experience in human resources.
- PHR or SPHR certification.
- Project management experience.
