The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position will also collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns.

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management hand‑held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean and maintained, completing daily vehicle inspections before operating.
• Maintain delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand‑held devices and monies collected securely at all times.
• Pick up customer returns such as new, warranty and cores, and fill out driver return slip.
• Communicate customer problems or special needs to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents or damage to the store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled, lock and secure vehicle at end of day.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including customer service, sweeping, general stocking and straightening stock, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns and checking in/up stock orders.
• Assist customers, serve as cashier or help with merchandising tasks when business requires.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet company 14/18‑point record system standards.
• Must possess a legally required state driver’s license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.

• Familiar with automotive parts.
• Ability to operate other light store equipment.
• Fluency in multiple languages;
  Spanish preferred.
