About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Math Teacher to join our partner school’s team for the current school year. The ideal candidate is an innovative educator who promotes academic excellence and inspires students to achieve their full potential in a supportive, inclusive, and intellectually engaging environment.

Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain a positive and respectful classroom culture that promotes curiosity, confidence, and a love for mathematics.
  • Build meaningful relationships with students and families, demonstrating genuine care and accountability for each student’s academic and personal growth.
  • Design and deliver rigorous, standards-aligned math instruction for high school students (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, or other advanced math courses).
  • Plan and implement differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with IEPs, English Language Learners, and high‑achieving students.
  • Facilitate interactive and engaging lessons that promote problem‑solving, critical thinking, and real‑world application of math concepts.
  • Assess and analyze student progress through formal and informal assessments to guide instruction and provide targeted support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and instructional coaches through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to share best practices and improve student outcomes.
  • Uphold and promote school‑wide values that foster a safe, caring, and academically driven environment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the math department.
Qualifications
  • Valid New Jersey Teacher Certification (Mathematics endorsement required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Education (required);
    Master’s degree (preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of high school math curriculum and state standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative, reflective, and solution‑oriented mindset
  • Commitment to continuous professional growth and feedback
  • Dedication to student success and perseverance in overcoming challenges
