Cresthaven Academy Charter School exists to provide a comprehensive education to our scholars that develops the whole child through academic excellence, physical wellness, emotional health, and character enrichment. Our school is built on the belief that all children, regardless of race or economic status, can succeed when given equal access to a high-quality education. Each of our scholars will be empowered to overcome challenges and equipped to sustain their success in school and beyond.

Cresthaven Academy Charter School is supported by Cresthaven Academy Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Together we incorporate comprehensive support for scholars and families into the education model, including an after school program, in order to inspire excellence in character, identity, and academics in each child.

Cresthaven Academy is focused on supporting excellent teaching that closes the achievement gap. We recognize that teachers are the most important in-school factor contributing to student achievement. We also value leadership and support staff because they facilitate, encourage, and help to foster the developmental growth of scholars to achieve physical, social and mental well-being by providing quality care and expertise in their respective roles.

• Work with teachers, administrators, and parents to translate/interpret, coordinate, and advocate for family involvement to facilitate children's learning in specialized programs.
• Confers and works with school principals, teachers, guidance and other professional staff, as well as parents and other concerned individuals regarding problems affecting the students' progress and achievements, behavior, personal well-being or other school-related problems they may be experiencing.
• Provide verbal and written translation of district and school documents/communication establish the school community as a place that invites participation and partnership through the development of a wide variety of "welcome" plans for parents/families.
• Plan and/or support in the planning and implementation of all parent events (ex. Career Day, Read Across America, Kindergarten Welcome Picnic, et cetera)
• Work as the direct liaison between the school and the PTO, attending all PTO meetings, and PTO meetings with the Administrators.
• Compile and collect basic information and material to help the school involve the parents in the activities of the children.
• Provide translation and interpretation including by not limited to: IEP meetings eligibility meetings, 504 meetings, special education and English Learning programming, transition meetings, evaluations,and eligibility/IEP meetings throughout the Early Intervention transition process, preschool screenings, registration, EL intake meetings, parent conferences/orientation, home visits, daily communication
• Provide MLL community engagement programs for MLLs, which include parent education workshops, MLL storytime, and other workshops aligned with the Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee initiatives;
  Maintain files for all meeting agendas, facilitators, presenters, and meeting attendance; e.g., parent sign-in sheets.
• Evaluate effectiveness of program activities and keep current with trends and developments in the field.
• Arrange for the conducting of workshops at various schools for parents of children in order to inform them of the education program's provisions, services, and other functions offered within the school system.
• Coordinate community wide conferences with parents in order to involve them in their children's education.
• Conduct meetings with parents and interpret and explain the various provisions of the education program so that they are able to help their children at home.
