Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Night Auditor to join our Front Desk Team! Our Hampton Inn with 107 guest rooms is located off I-287/I-95 in South Plainfield, a half-mile from Hadley Center and 10 minutes from Piscataway. Rutgers University – New Brunswick is six miles away and we’re close to a variety of corporate offices. The New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center is nine miles away and we’re 30 minutes from Newark Airport.

We serve a daily hot complimentary to all our guests. A great place to stay – a great place to work. The Hampton Inn is one of the 50 hotel properties owned and managed by the award‑winning hotel management company, Buffalo Lodging Associates.

Responsibilities
  • Greeting guests, completing the check‑in/check‑out procedure through the Property Management System while obtaining and storing pertinent information.
  • Handles cash, credit card information and goods at the property.
  • Identifying the needs of each guest and providing relevant information regarding hotel services and amenities to create an accommodating environment. Respond to all guest requests in a timely manner.
  • Taking reservations from incoming callers, inputting all pertinent information into the hotel management system, and updating or canceling reservations as requested.
  • Organizing previous shift paperwork, closing and balancing all room accounts and vouchers, investigating and analyzing out of balance situations, running trial balance reports and night audit.
Qualifications
  • Customer Service experience, in a hotel setting preferred.
  • Hilton experience is a plus.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Computer knowledge including intranet, Property Management System, Word, and Excel is strongly preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving history subject to company approval.
  • Typical Schedule:

    Overnights, 11 PM‑7 AM; weekend availability needed.
