Dialysis Experience Required

DaVita Kidney Care brings industry‑leading clinical quality to patients on‑site at skilled nursing facilities through the new DaVita Skilled Nursing Dialysis Services team. Approximately 10% of all dialysis patients reside in an SNF and are transported to dialysis three times a week, placing a significant burden on patients and adding avoidable costs to the health care system. DSD Service teammates will have access to all the capabilities and resources DaVita offers, working to quickly develop infrastructure and grow the new service line.

Ideal teammates have dialysis experience, thrive in a start‑up environment, and are adept at getting things done. They work autonomously and collaborate across the organization.

In this role you will take responsibility for the ongoing care of each patient to keep their dialysis treatment on track. DSD RNs troubleshoot and make sound decisions related to dialysis treatment and occasionally partner with SNF staff to coordinate care.

Primary work schedule: 3 days a week, occasional Saturday work, no on call required.

RNs are educators. As a DSD Services RN you will conduct impactful and meaningful education for patients and families in the SNF setting.

The RN’s primary responsibility is to independently demonstrate best‑practice techniques and deliver optimal dialysis care. The role includes supervising Dialysis Technicians who provide tandem care to meet capacity and efficiency goals.

DSD Dialysis care is complex but fulfilling. Meeting and exceeding clinical outcomes are the goals, and multitasking is expected to meet the needs of the service, patients, and SNF partners.

Provide comprehensive patient care independently. Plan to be on your toes at all times, constantly applying core nursing skills to assess, diagnose, and implement complete care plans for the whole patient.

• Training includes classroom and hands‑on learning through DaVita’s award‑winning programs.
• Training may occur in a facility or a clinical clinic with peers other than your assigned home clinic.
• Hours during training may vary, typically 32‑40 hours/week.
• May be asked to support other local SNF sites.

• Previous chronic hemodialysis, acute dialysis and/or peritoneal dialysis (PD) nursing experience.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice; minimum 12 months of RN experience.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited school; BSN preferred; three‑year diploma from an accredited program may substitute for degree.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.

• Training/Teaching/Healthcare Education background.
• Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN).
