Gen Serve is seeking an experienced Billing Specialist for a full‑time office position in Plainview, NY. The Billing Specialist will complete invoicing for service repair work performed by Gen Serve service technicians.

• Process AR invoices daily as required per the completed job workload and deliver invoices to customers via email, online portals, or regular mail.
• Ensure customer information regarding payment choice and billing contact is available.
• Verify all charges are correct and align with customer specifications, labor rates, contractual rates, flat‑rate pricing, parts pricing, subcontracting pricing, and freight charges.
• Include all necessary information on invoices, including customer PO numbers, work order numbers, order release numbers, and proper bill‑to address and email address.
• Maintain knowledge of incoming jobs ready for invoicing to forecast volume and communicate with supervisor when there is a backup.
• Take customer payments as needed and communicate with customers when required.
• Actively participate in Billing Team meetings and communicate ways to improve established processes.

• Available to work 40 hours per week in Plainview, NY.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience creating AR invoices, including portal invoice submission using accounting computer software.
• Knowledge of all Microsoft Software computer programs.
• Knowledge of Sage 100 and Salesforce is a plus.
