Switchgear Technician

The Switchgear Technician will work directly with the Senior Field Engineer to support field and manufacturing wiring projects. This role includes hands‑on tasks such as interpreting drawings, performing field and shop wiring, and executing smaller retrofit projects with minimal supervision.

• Provide wiring support for field and manufacturing operations.
• Assist the Field Engineer with interpreting drawings, and performing field and shop wiring tasks.
• Execute smaller retrofit projects independently, with minimal supervision.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with safety standards and project specifications.

• 2+ years minimum Switchgear/ATS/Generator Controller experience required.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of electrical systems and groupings.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings.
• General understanding of ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch), generator, and switch gear operation.
• Familiarity with machinery and equipment used in field projects.
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems and how to apply them.
• Basic knowledge of instrumentation is a plus.
• Team‑oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage tasks independently.
• Customer‑focused with a positive, solutions‑driven attitude.
• High level of initiative and drive to meet goals.

• AAS/AS Instrumentation Technology or 3–5 years equivalent experience preferred.
