This is a full-time position, working from our Plainview, NY or Warrington, PA offices. We offer a hybrid work schedule (typically 3 days/week at home).
OverviewThe Account Executive interacts with clients daily, developing and maintaining relationships with both client and carrier representatives. The role involves preparing applications, specifications and marketing strategies for new business as well as renewals of assigned clients, with supervision and approval from a supervisor. The Account Executive may serve as lead consultant and primary point of contact for assigned clients. Revenue goals and/or client retention targets may apply.
EssentialDuties And Responsibilities
- Negotiate terms, conditions, coverage limits and pricing with carriers and wholesalers
- Coordinate with the Claims Department on relevant claims for assigned clients
- Ensure accurate information is maintained (exposures, driver information, reporting forms, endorsements, marketing information) to avoid E&O claims
- Maintain a diary/follow-up system to ensure policy documents and information are received and requests are fulfilled
- Supervise or direct the daily activities of Coordinators and Account Managers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and clients; keep clients informed of industry trends and regulatory issues
- Excellent written communication; ability to interpret information and present data effectively
- Self-confident with the ability to make independent decisions
- Ability to interact with a variety of people/personalities
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to read, analyze and reconcile financial reports
- Technical expertise with analytical and problem-solving skills
- Calm, courteous and professional demeanor
- Strong attention to detail and decision-making abilities
- Typically more than 5 years of Commercial Property & Casualty Insurance experience
- Commercial Lines experience should include servicing a book of business at a retail insurance brokerage
- Proficiency in EPIC or other agency management systems preferred
- BA/BS preferred
- P&C Insurance License required
- CIC, CPCU or other P&C designation preferred
NFP offers a competitive salary, PTO and paid holidays, 401(k) with match, health and wellness programs, and more. Base salary range: $60,000 – $130,000. Actual base salary offered is determined by experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level, scope of the position, and geographic location.
