Security Officer, Plainview, TX

Under general supervision, patrol assigned areas of the CHS campus to deter, detect, and investigate crime or suspicious activity that could harm individuals or property. Provide information and assistance to patients, employees, and visitors. Write detailed incident reports and other required documentation. Maintain control of disruptive individuals for arrest by Lubbock Police Department when warranted. Emphasis is placed on the safety of individuals and loss prevention.

Carry Department‑issued handcuffs and a non‑lethal device while on duty.

• Patrol campus and surrounding areas as directed.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and alarms.
• Monitor activity and report incidents in a timely manner.
• Assist and provide guidance to patients, staff, and visitors.
• Document all incidents and maintain accurate logs.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement as needed.

• Within 30 days of hire, obtain Texas Non‑Commissioned Security Officer certification from the Texas Private Security Board.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Security, Law Enforcement, Military, or Police, preferably in a hospital or campus environment.
• Knowledge of handcuffing, non‑lethal device operation, and first‑aid basic care.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance; driving may be required.
• Available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Flexible for per‑diem/on‑call days as needed.
