Security Officer, Plainview, TX

Under general supervision, patrols assigned areas of the CHS campus to deter, detect, and investigate crime and any suspicious activity that could cause harm to individuals or property. Provides information and assistance to patients, employees and visitors. Writes detailed incident reports and various other reports as required. Takes and maintains control of disruptive individuals for arrest by Lubbock Police Department when warranted.

Primary emphasis is placed on the safety of the individual and loss prevention. After completion of classroom and practical instructions, will carry Department issued handcuffs and non-lethal device at all times while on duty.

• Onsite position; will report onsite daily as scheduled.
• Must be located within commutable distance of Plainview, TX.
• Flexible and available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Work status:
  Per Diem / On Call, Day.
  On call/per diem refers to shifts scheduled on an "as needed" basis to fill staff vacancies.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Within 30 days of hire obtain Texas Non-Commissioned Security Officer license (Texas Private Security Board).
  • Driving may be required; must provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request.
  • One or more years of experience in Security, Law Enforcement, Military, or Police, preferably in a hospital or campus environment.

$16.14 - $24.69 per hour. Additional compensation such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities may be available.
