School Bus Driver

Overview

Join Para now for a reason: first student operates over 5 million students daily. The School Bus Driver role will train you with industry leading technology.

• Start the school day with an early morning before‑school pickup and return students after‑school by dropping off homes.

• Drive a safe route using advanced navigation tools.

• Inspect the vehicle before and after each trip and assist students with boarding and exiting the bus.

• Contribute to a minimum of four hours per school day; when available you may gain additional hours via trips and charters.

• $16.75 starting hourly wage.

• Flexible hours to fit personal schedule; nights and weekends not required unless you volunteer.

• Guaranteed 4 hour minimum per day.

• CDL assistance support to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License.

• Earn points through the SALT employee rewards program for prizes, gift certificates, trips, or future planning.

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license held for a minimum of three years.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Must pass a Department of Transportation drug test and a physical examination.

• Looking for a part‑time schedule.
• Enjoy working with students.
• Are 21 or older with a valid driver’s license for at least three years.
