Payroll Clerk

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruitment is partnering with a growing construction organization in Hartford County to identify a Payroll Clerk to support full‑cycle field payroll operations across multiple job sites.

• Maintain employment documentation and payroll‑related records
• Process weekly field payroll for multi‑state job sites
• Prepare and submit certified payroll reports
• Complete third‑party reporting, including monthly utilization and union benefit submissions
• Perform data entry, review, correction, and importing of daily electronic timesheets
• Utilize Excel and Word for reporting and administrative tasks

• 2+ years of payroll experience, ideally within the construction industry
• Experience with multi‑state payroll
• Prior certified payroll and construction payroll required
• Union payroll experience strongly preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
• Proficiency in Excel and Word
• Experience with Sage, Timber Scan, HCSS, or other construction payroll systems preferred

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 based on experience
