Location:
201 N Mountain Road, Plainville (CT 10322). Shift: Monday – Friday.
Hartford Health Care Cancer Institute offers an unmatched coordinated service network. The Regional Practice Manager – Oncology oversees the Plainville, Southing, and Meriden Oncology Practices to ensure superior customer service and patient care in an efficient, cost‑effective manner.
Responsibilities- Serve as member of management team: collaborate on organizational business issues, communicate appropriate messages, and support corporate initiatives.
- Oversee all activities of the assigned operational practices – provide leadership and direction to direct reports and providers.
- Execute business plans by assigning accountability to appropriate staff and/or physicians, monitoring progress, making appropriate adjustments, and finding solutions to obstacles.
- Identify ways to increase profitability – recommend and implement cost‑effective strategies for the department.
- Identify and implement ways to maximize efficiency, productivity and resource allocation; respond promptly and effectively to patient and provider concerns.
- Evaluate workflow and performance to maximize productivity/efficiency and ensure quality service.
- Analyze data reports and act on significant trends affecting overall effectiveness of the department.
- Find opportunities to grow the business through increased referrals, new or increased services, regional expansion, or other revenue‑enhancing activities.
- Drive improvement efforts through effective staff and provider involvement, project management, and communication; implement changes and keep staff and providers up to date with clear and concise communications.
- Establish targeted goals and growth plans for staff; monitor employee performance and conduct effective performance evaluation sessions.
- Document issues, perform disciplinary/coaching sessions and keep management apprised of significant personnel and operational issues.
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years medical practice management experience.
- Experience in a multi‑site practice management.
