Resident Maintenance Tech

The Resident Maintenance Technician Level 3 is responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance on ASRS, Dematic Multi-shuttle and Conveyors. Acts as a material handling technician on all equipment installed at the Plainville, CT facility. Please note this is a refrigerated and freezer facility. This position will start on day shift from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm and will eventually turn into a 12-hour night shift from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.

The permanent shifts will be rotating 4-3-3-4. Overtime and possibly weekend work may be required.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $30 to $35 an hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skill.

• Repair and maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and component lubrication.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
• Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.
• Build and close work orders in the asset management system with appropriate data, including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
• Troubleshoot semi-complex problems and identify resources needed to resolve them.
• Locate and supervise spare parts from inventory.
• Perform routine maintenance and equipment testing to ensure they meet specifications.
• Respond to service calls and address equipment failures and faults.
• Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to tackle them.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

• High School diploma or equivalent experience required. An associate's degree or vocational technical training is helpful.
• Specialized skill training/certification is a plus.
• 2-3 years of experience in troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment preferred.
• Proven experience in the area of responsibility and successful demonstration of key responsibilities.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
• Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.
• Job conditions can involve tight spaces, dust, odors, temperature variations, noise, vibration, standing on concrete, and wet surfaces.
• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours.
• Flexibility to cover multiple shifts and holiday hours as needed.
