Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual’s relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Gambling Facilities and Casinos - Starting salary: $48,000 to $55,000
- Responsible for fostering a fun environment
- Responsible for being a gracious host to all guests and co-workers
- Responsible for promoting a positive influence in the community and participating in company-sponsored events
- Ensures efficient staffing levels managing hiring, promotion, demotions and termination decisions
- Maintains communication between departments to include sharing information between shifts, ensuring maintenance requests are properly communicated, absences, or any other information relevant to another shift
- Responsible and accountable for the overall cleanliness and guest service both internally and externally
- Oversees department and shift-specific training for all department and area zones
- Responsible for ensuring that keys, pans and brooms, and equipment are checked in and out accurately
- Ensure equipment is returned clean and ready for next user and hold staff accountable for such
- Serves as EVS liaison in committee meetings and can lead such when requested
- Responsible for creating and posting weekly schedule, at least one week in advance
- Managing overtime to ensure that it is scheduled, monitored, communicated and approved by the manager
- Accountability to ensure that performance reviews are completed and presented in a timely manner
- Approval of employee’s payroll hours daily by each applicable shift
- Must have an outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic attitude
- Must enjoy hosting others
- Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with our guests
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university is preferred
- Two years supervisory experience
- Two years prior cleaning and/or janitorial experience
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word)
- Must speak English
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Proven guest service skills and experience
- Proven leadership skills: a role model who leads by example
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and work in a noisy environment
- Mobility requirements include bending, pushing, pulling, overhead lifting, turning and reaching
- Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
