Role DescriptionThis role is a contract assignment at Palo Alto Networks. Contractors will not be employed by Palo Alto Networks but through our trusted staffing partners. Palo Alto Networks is looking for an Accounts Receivable Analyst - Contractor to work with the Finance team and is a great opportunity for a talented individual who has the desire to associate with a fast-growing company in a truly international environment.

- Location:
Plano, TX (Hybrid – Working from office 3X a week) - Duration: 12 months
- Resolve invoice disputes and other billing inquiries from customers
- Data analysis, performance analysis, and support as well as continuous improvement of reporting management processes, with a particular focus on data quality and accuracy
- Identify and collaborate on solutions for accounts receivable process deficiencies
- Review customer contracts for billing terms
- Monitor non-standard billings and ensure proper invoicing
- Compile work details from various systems as required for professional services
- Identify and collaborate with cross-functional business partners and third parties to implement best practices, automation and continuous process improvements
- Partner cross-functionally with Credit and Collections, Operations, Sales, Tax and IT departments to resolve accounts receivable matters
- Participate in the worldwide accounts receivable close, including preparation of monthly journal entries, reconciliations and SOX controls
- Perform user acceptance testing of new system implementations and management dashboard as required
- Ensure compliance with SOX 404 key controls
- Assist with ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects
- 3 - 5 years of experience with SAP ERP, Concur, Clarizen, Salesforce; accounting and GL knowledge and experience are also a plus
- Perform at high levels in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment
- Excellent customer service, proactive, and strong work ethic
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of management and cross functional organizations
- Works well autonomously with the ability to manage priorities and execute under pressure
- Strong problem-solving skills, research and resolution skills, and data analysis
- Solid organizational skills with attention to detail
- High proficiency in Google applications, Microsoft Office with intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
