Senior Accountant

Frederick Fox is partnering with a growing organization seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting team.

This is a great opportunity for an accountant who enjoys a combination of hands-on accounting, financial analysis, technical accounting and process improvement.

• Support the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statements
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances and identify key trends
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management
• Ensure accounting activity is completed accurately and in accordance with applicable accounting standards
• Assist with moderately complex technical accounting matters
• Partner with and provide guidance to less experienced accounting team members
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting and internal controls
• Help develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
• Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audit requirements
• Work cross-functionally with other areas of the business to resolve accounting and reporting issues
• Support ad hoc accounting and financial analysis projects as required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• CPA required
• 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong experience with general ledger accounting, financial reporting and month-end close
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP
• Experience preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations

The ideal candidate will have experience within a corporate accounting environment and be comfortable handling both routine and more complex accounting matters. Previous experience working within a larger or multi-entity organization would be beneficial.
