Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations for a Contract position based in Plano, Texas. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, managing close activities, and ensuring the integrity of balance sheet and cash-related accounts. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, a detail-oriented approach, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Lead monthly closing activities by preparing schedules, reviewing account activity, and helping ensure deadlines are met.
• Record and post journal entries with appropriate support to maintain complete and accurate financial data.
• Oversee general ledger activity, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies across assigned accounts.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and follow through on outstanding items in a timely manner.
• Complete bank reconciliations by comparing cash activity, identifying exceptions, and clearing reconciling items.
• Analyze financial transactions and supporting documentation to improve accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to gather information needed for reporting, reconciliations, and close deliverables.
