Sun Auto Tire & Service is a reputable automotive service center dedicated to providing top‑notch maintenance and repair services to our customers. We are currently seeking a skilled General Service Technician to join our team.

The General Service Technician will perform non‑technical service repairs such as oil changes, tire and wheel‑related services, alignments, flushes, and more. While working alongside ASE Certified Automotive Technicians, you will get the training necessary to advance your career. Starting at: $15.00/Hr. to $18.00/Hr.

• Perform tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance, and tire rotation.
• Perform oil changes and other basic services.
• Utilize the company’s Multi‑point Inspection and/or Repair Order to properly document the vehicle condition.
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop, including the service area, tire racks, showroom, and outside the building.
• Drive vehicles in a safe and courteous manner, obeying all traffic laws; includes transporting customers, picking up parts, supplies, tires, etc. from vendors and/or the corporate office using the company vehicle.
• Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections in applicable locations on vehicles in an ethical manner following all company and state guidelines.
• Follow all safety procedures and report any concerns to the direct supervisor.
• Work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed; other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
• Adhere to Sun Auto’s core values, and all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Sun Auto Tire & Service Employee Handbook.

• Possesses a general understanding of under‑the‑hood mechanical and under‑carriage assemblies (preferred).
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain a State Inspector License (preferred).
• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

The General Service Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non‑hazardous materials. Temperature may vary and could include extreme heat and/or cold. Use of safety goggles or other PPE may be required.

• Stand up to eight hours per day and walk to gain access to various areas of the building.
• Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to handle or touch objects frequently.
• Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly; lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently.
• Communicate with customers and shop personnel.
• Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re‑focus.

Previous automotive experience is preferred, but we will consider energetic and hard‑working individuals with a passion for cars. Candidates must have a high level of motivation and be able to work in a fast‑paced environment – there is ALWAYS something to do.
