Director, Assurance

We are senior-led and built flat: the people in the first conversation are the people doing the work, every engagement starts with a written list of what we are deliberately not doing, and we hand over only once the change is running - to named owners inside the client. We take no referral fees, reseller margins or commissions from any vendor, which is what lets us tell a client the answer is not to buy anything.

As a Director in Assurance, you own a portfolio of client relationships and a part of the Assurance offering. You sell and oversee the work, lead senior teams, and are accountable for revenue, delivery quality and the reputation of the practice with your clients. Our practice covers Technology Assurance, AI & Model Assurance, Controls & Reporting Readiness and Board & Transaction Assurance.

• Own a portfolio of Assurance clients and engagements, and grow it.
• Originate, shape and close new work with executive buyers.
• Lead the offering in one or more areas - Technology Assurance, AI & Model Assurance, Controls & Reporting Readiness and Board & Transaction Assurance.
• Oversee delivery quality across several engagements and step in when programmes are at risk.
• Lead and develop senior managers and managers; shape hiring and staffing.
• Contribute to practice strategy, pricing and thought leadership.
• Represent Taidou with clients, in industry forums and in the market.

• 12-15 years of relevant experience in assurance, including senior client leadership.
• A track record of originating and growing client relationships and revenue.
• Experience leading large engagements and senior teams.
• Recognized expertise in at least one area of the practice.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

• Experience in one or more of our industries: aerospace & defense, consumer, education, energy, financial services, government & public services, health care, insurance, sports, technology, media & telecom, and utilities & renewables.
• Consulting background combined with time in industry running the work.
• Relevant professional certifications for the service line.

• Senior-led delivery - no bench, no handoff between the team that wins the work and the team that runs it.
• Named scope and named exclusions, agreed before work starts.
• Handover after adoption, to named owners, with a follow-up review we schedule ourselves.
• Independence from vendors: no referral fees, reseller margins or commissions.

This role is contract-to-hire. You join Taidou as an independent contractor for an initial onboarding period (typically 90 days), during which we agree your goals together. Once the conversion criteria set out in your offer are met, you convert to a full-time position with benefits.

Compensation is competitive and set according to experience and scope, and includes commission on the business you originate or grow. Full details are confirmed in your offer letter.
