AP Transformation Project Manager

We are looking for an ERP Project Manager to join a contract engagement in Plano, Texas. This position is suited for a detail-oriented individual who can connect accounting operations, systems knowledge, and project execution to improve accounts payable performance in a fast-paced environment. The role will partner with finance, operations, and technology teams to strengthen workflows, support automation efforts, and help deliver sustainable process improvements.

Responsibilities:
• Lead initiatives that improve accounts payable operations by identifying inefficiencies and introducing practical workflow enhancements.
• Coordinate project activities tied to ERP-related improvements, including planning, tracking milestones, and keeping deliverables on schedule.
• Support testing efforts for system changes by validating results, documenting defects, and following issues through resolution.
• Investigate processing exceptions involving invoices, coding, approvals, and routing to maintain timely and accurate transaction flow.
• Create and maintain clear process documentation, operating procedures, and control records to support consistency and compliance.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across accounting, finance, operations, and technology to address gaps and align business needs with system capabilities.
• Analyze transactional and workflow data to uncover opportunities for better accuracy, efficiency, and operational performance.
• Assist with user adoption activities by preparing training support materials, answering process questions, and reinforcing new ways of working.
• Monitor workflow activity and exception trends, contributing to reporting and post-implementation stabilization efforts.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and transformation projects involving AP automation, system enhancements, and operational excellence goals.
