Hourly: $14.04 – $19.65

• Direct a variety of recreation activities while maintaining discipline and safety.
• Assist in teaching games, arts and crafts, drama, and music activities.
• Render first aid in case of minor injury.
• Assist in the issuance and collection of camp equipment.
• Assist in conducting special events for the camp program.
• Maintain activity records; assist in preparing reports and newsletters.
• Regular and consistent attendance for the assigned work schedule is essential.
• Perform other related duties as directed.

• Requires completion of two years of high school; minimum age 16.
• Requires four months of experience working with children ages 6‑12.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, adults, and other staff.
• Knowledge of recreational activities, basic arts and crafts, and basic dramatic procedures.
• Knowledge of outdoor recreation practices and techniques (if required for outdoor program).
• Ability to pass CPR and first aid certification training and test administered by the City.
• Must pass drug test, driver license check, criminal history background check, CJIS background check, and social security number verification.
• Physical demands: mobility, stamina, ability to lift up to 30 pounds with proper equipment.
