Join HNTB North Texas as an Inspector II tasked with being part of a larger team overseeing TxDOT or similar projects. This responsibility includes overseeing daily construction activities, documenting and paying for work performed in Site Manager, and conducting material testing of concrete.

• Observe, document, and verify work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans. Confirm procedures are followed and material used conforms to specifications.
• Utilize engineering inspection practices to perform standard mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date.
• Maintain Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.
• Perform on-site material testing and produce as-constructed sketches as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 3 years of construction-related experience.
• All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.
• Minimum 5 years of TxDOT-related experience.
• Site Manager experience.
• Knowledge of TxDOT Specifications.
• Recognizes and escalates discrepancies or conflicts within documents.
• Interprets and understands schedules to provide feedback.
• Operates relevant testing equipment as assigned.
• Understands Microsoft Office Suite and other computer skills at an advanced level.
• Calculates complex pay quantities.
• Identifies, documents, and escalates change conditions.

• ACI Certifications.
• SB102 Certifications.
