Overview

Full-Time Daycare Teacher (7am - 4pm) at The Children’s Ark, Plano, TX.

We are searching for a nurturing toddler teacher to ensure that our students' basic and educational needs are met. As a toddler teacher, you will prepare and deliver classroom activities, communicate with staff and parents, and ensure that the learning environment remains safe at all times. You should also be an excellent role model for our students.

To be successful as a toddler teacher, you should be creative, energetic, and able to encourage self-expression. Top candidates will thoroughly understand the contextual factors that shape early childhood development.

• Completion of the Early Childhood courses as designed by the state Child Care authority.
• Meet annual professional development requirements per state regulations.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• A caring individual who enjoys teaching young children.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Extended periods sitting on the floor.
• Reliable transportation to the Child Care center.
• Great customer service skills to communicate effectively with parents.

• Provide a safe and loving environment for the children in their care.
• Feed children age-appropriate food.
• Change pull-ups as needed.
• Communicate with parents daily through Smartcare.
• Follow the curriculum (ABC Jesus loves me) and classroom schedule.
• Supervise children on the floor as they play with age-appropriate toys.
• Put children to sleep for nap time.
• Ensure play, sleep, and changing areas are kept clean.
• Other duties as assigned.
