Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school district in the Plano, TX area is seeking two Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to provide specialized behavioral support for students in K-12 settings. This contracted role focuses on assisting students in self-contained or life skills classrooms, primarily supporting individuals with Autism, intellectual, or emotional disturbances.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating closely with Behavior Interventionists and classroom teachers to implement behavior intervention plans
- Providing direct one-on-one behavioral support to students with high levels of restraint and aggression
- Flexibly rotating among 2-3 campuses per week, commuting between sites to meet student needs
- Maintaining documentation and communication aligned with supervisory Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
- Modeling positive behavioral supports and supporting classroom management strategies
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Current national Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
- Experience working with students diagnosed with Autism or related developmental disabilities
- Ability to handle challenging behaviors and maintain calm in crisis situations
- Flexibility to travel between multiple campuses within the district weekly
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and behavior specialists
Schedule and location:
- Onsite in Lewisville, TX, serving K-12 campuses
- Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
- Contract term: ASAP through May 22, 2026
