We are seeking a dynamic and detail‑oriented Senior PLC Programmer to join our innovative manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and associated control systems to ensure seamless production operations. Your expertise will drive automation efficiency, optimize machinery performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This person will be joining a team that focuses on new product development, so we are looking for an experienced Engineer/Programmer that can help with design and build outs from scratch.
Responsibilities- 5+ years of building, testing and implementing PLC programs (true build from scratch experience)
- Any experience integrating various automation components (examples such as vision inspection systems, CNC machinery, distributed control systems (DCS), and high/low voltage electrical systems, or similar)
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and industrial electricians to modify or upgrade control panels, hydraulic systems, and mechanical interfaces.
- Assist in training maintenance staff on PLC operation, troubleshooting procedures, and safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects by analyzing system performance data and recommending enhancements for efficiency gains.
This is a fully onsite position at a state‑of‑the‑art facility located in Plano, TX (75024). Normal first shift, Monday ‑ Friday operations. This is currently expected to be a 6‑month contract with the possibility to extend further.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.
